Hiking Gear & Clothing - What to Wear on the Trail
When hiking anywhere in BC during the Fall/Winter/Spring you need to be prepared for rain and snow at all times. That means no matter where you're hiking or how far, always bring appropriate cold/wet weather hiking gear.

Gear Your Need To Bring On Every Event: 

• Proper hiking clothing A good waterproof jacket, backpack, toque, gloves, hiking poles (with snow basket), waterproof hiking boots & gaiters, water, food, & first aid kit, extra warm clothes in a waterprof stuff sack, space blanket, navigation (map/compass and/or gps) headlamp & firestarter. This is not an exhaustive list of all you could need but are some of the basic essentials every hiker should wear or have in their pack (not just hike leaders) for every Hike Chilliwack event you take part in. If you're not bringing all of these things you are hiking unprepared.
• Follow some basic do's and don'ts when it comes to choosing the correct clothing to wear on the hiking trail
