When a helmet's just not going to help - Ireland cliff trails

Couldn't resist posting these pics of these mountain bikers near Dublin Ireland riding on these insane cliff trails.

There are times when you want to use safety equipment (ie like all the time when mountain biking) but then there are times (like in these photos) when even having all of the gear (helmets, elbow pads, etc) just seems a little useless.

Would be fun to hike along that trail. Apparently there are massive updrafts that regularly blow people off the trail just to add to the adventure of it all.

Pukaskwa Coastal Hiking Trail, Canada

Here's some info about Pukaskwa National Park in Ontario.

Blog posting:

Living close to the Rocky Mountains I generally look down on any hikes … east of the Rocky Mountains.

Parks Canada describes the park as:

Wild Shore of an Inland Sea
Pukaskwa National Park's exceptional beauty is revealed in its vistas of Lake Superior and in the rugged, ancient landscape of the Canadian Shield and northern forest. The spirit of the wilderness envelopes those who explore this special place.
The only wilderness national park in Ontario, Pukaskwa was established in 1983 to protect 1878 square km of an ecosystem that features boreal forest and Lake Superior shoreline.
